Makna Dan Arti Lambang Garuda Pancasila

Garuda Pancasila yakni Lambang Negara Republik Indonesia. Hal ini tercantum dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 dan dipertegaskan oleh Peraturan Pemerintah No. 66 Tahun 1951. Penulisan nama resmi lambang negara Indonesia tersebut terdapat dalam pasal 36 A Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 yang berbunyi “Lambang Negara ialah Garuda Pancasila dengan Semboyan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”.


Sejarah Penetapan Garuda sebagai Lambang Negara

Parada Harahap sebagai anggota Panitia Perancangan Undang-Undang Dasar dalam rapat Pada tanggal 13 Juli 1945 mengusulkan wacana lambang negara dan disetujui oleh seluruh anggota. Kemudian dibuat Panitia Indonesia Raya yang mempunyai kiprah untuk menyidik lambang yang sesuai untuk bangsa Indonesia. Panitia tersebut diketuai oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara dan sekretaris umum dijabat oleh Muhamad Yamin.

Pada tahap pertama rancangan lambang negara yang terbaik diusulkan oleh Sultan Hamid II dan Muhamad Yamin. Namun tawaran Muhamad Yamin ditolak. Tanggal 10 Februari 1950 Sulatan Hamid II mengajukan rancangan gambar lambang negara yang telah disempurnakan menurut usulan-usulan yang berkembang. Tanggal 11 Februari 1950 lambang Garuda Pancasila ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah/Kabinet RIS dan diresmikan pemakaiannya dalam Sidang Kabinet

Arti dan Makna Garuda Pancasila sebagai Lambang Negara

Lambang negara Burung Garuda berwarna kuning emas mengepakkan guehpnya menoleh ke kanan. Warna kuning emas melambangkan bangsa yang besar dan berjiwa sejati. Kepala Burung Garuda yang menoleh ke kanan mungkin alasannya yakni aliran orang zaman dahulu yang ingin Indonesia menjadi negara yang benar dan bermaksud biar Indonesia tidak menempuh jalan yang salah. Arah ke kanan dianggap arah yang baik sehingga kepala Garuda dibuat menghadap ke kanan. Sayap yang membentang yakni siap terbang ke angkasa.Burung Garuda dengan guehp yang mengembang siap terbang ke angkasa, melambangkan dinamika dan semangat untuk menjunjung tinggi nama baik bangsa dan negara.

Di tengah tubuh terdapat perisai yang bermakna benteng ketahanan. Masing-masing simbol di dalam perisai melambangkan sila-sila dalam Pancasila, yaitu: Bintang melambangkan sila Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa [sila pertama]. Rantai melambangkan sila Kemanusiaan Yang Adil Dan Beradab [sila kedua]. Pohon Beringin melambangkan sila Persatuan Indonesia [sila ketiga]. Kepala banteng melambangkan sila Kerakyatan Yang Dipimpin Oleh Hikmat Kebijaksanaan Dalam Permusyawaratan dan Perwakilan [sila keempat]. Padi dan Kapas melambangkan sila Keadilan Sosial Bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia [sila kelima]. Sedangkan Garis hitam tebal yang melintang di dalam perisai melambangkan wilayah Indonesia yang dilintasi Garis Khatulistiwa, yang yakni lambang geografis lokasi Indonesia.


Makna Jumlah Bulu pada Burung Garuda

Jumlah bulu melambangkan hari proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia (17 Agustus 1945), antara lain: Jumlah bulu pada masing-masing guehp berjumlah 17, Jumlah bulu pada ekor berjumlah 8, Jumlah bulu dibawah perisai/pangkal ekor berjumlah 19, Jumlah bulu pada leher berjumlah 45.

Pada bab bawah Garuda Pancasila, terdapat pita putih yang dicengkeram, yang bertuliskan " BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA " yang yakni semboyan negara Indonesia. Kata “Bhineka” berarti beraneka ragam atau tidak serupa-beda, Kata “Tunggal” berarti satu, dan Kata “Ika” berarti itu. Bhineka Tunggal Ika berarti " tidak serupa-beda tetapi tetap satu jua ". Perkataan itu diambil dari Kitab Sutasoma karangan Mpu Tantular, seorang pujangga dari Kerajaan Majapahit pada kurun ke-14. Perkataan itu menggambarkan persatuan dan kesatuan Nusa dan Bangsa Indonesia yang terdiri atas banyak sekali pulau, ras, suku, bangsa, adat, kebudayaan, bahasa, serta agama.
